TiO₂ Market Update – Mid October

Market Overview:After September's peak season order rush, supply has recovered post National Day holiday, and mills are now prioritizing backorder delivery over new intake.

Raw material costs have eased thanks to lower titanium ore and sulfuric acid prices, bringing more negotiation room for buyers with immediate demand. Domestic demand remains cautious on hand-to-mouth purchases, while export demand holds up better, as overseas buyers arrange December shipments ahead of year-end holidays.

Trade Risk:Trade remedy risks are rising: UK anti-dumping measures are proceeding and Japan has launched an anti-dumping probe on Chinese rutile TiO₂, which may reshape export flows and intensify competition in alternative markets.

Outlook:No big price swing is expected before late October. Transaction prices are negotiable based on grade, volume and payment terms. We are ready to support your year-end sourcing plan, feel free to contact us for latest offers.
