Titanium Dioxide Prices in the Second Half of the Year: Rise or Fall?
Whether the price of titanium dioxide will rise or fall in the second half of the year is a matter of concern, but there is no definite answer to this question at present.
Affected by the sluggish downstream demand in the second half of this year, the domestic titanium dioxide price have declined continuously. As of the end of August, the monthly average price of the titanium dioxide market fell to 16,864 yuan / ton, a 19.7% drop from the same period last year. At the beginning of September, the average price of titanium dioxide was 16,300 yuan / ton, down 3.46% compared to August, and the market focus continued to fall.
In August, the domestic titanium dioxide market as a whole showed a downward trend. Most domestic titanium dioxide manufacturers lowered their quotations, and the decline continued to September. The market price fell steadily and quietly. At present, it is still difficult for the cost and demand side to play a strong support. "Golden September" did not give a good start to titanium dioxide.
However, Lomon Billions said that since July this year, the domestic titanium dioxide market has entered a traditional off-season, the international market volatility has increased, and the price of titanium dioxide has declined. At the same time, the prices of raw materials such as sulfuric acid has seen a rapid decline, and the production cost have also been reduced. With the arrival of the peak season, the domestic epidemic prevention and control has become more precise, and the country has quickly implemented various measures to stabilize the economy, which will effectively promote the increase in investment and consumption, boost market confidence, and the price of titanium dioxide will stabilize and rebound.
