Coloring Base Phase of Titanium Dioxide

Coloring Base Phase of Titanium Dioxide

The coloring base phase is also known as the gray paint hue, or the base color phase. It is affected by the average particle size of titanium dioxide and its scattering ability of the size is very obvious, different particle sizes in different wavelengths will show different hues, can be expressed by the following formula: the bottom color = blue tones / red tones.

When the average particle size of titanium dioxide is 0.2μm, it has a strong scattering power for visible light in the short wave blue light (400nm), the bottom color with a slight blue phase, when the average particle size of titanium dioxide in 0. 4μm, it has a strong scattering power for visible light in the long wave red light (700nm), the bottom color with a slight red phase. When taking the color, using the correct base color of titanium dioxide is of utmost importance for accurate color taking. It is difficult to remedy this base color difference with pigment color.
