The gloss of an object refers to the ability of a substance to reflect the light projected. The stronger the reflectivity, the greater the gloss of the object. If the particle size of titanium dioxide is very fine and can be evenly distributed in the paint, the coating film will be smooth and smooth like a mirror, and its gloss will be good ,vice versa.
In China, the titanium dioxide pigment and sub-renal oil are usually mixed on a flat grinder to make a slurry, and then measured on a glass plate with a wet film. Although it is not completely objective to evaluate the glossiness of coatings, the visual grading made by different observers usually has a reasonable correlation.
